We select the launch site on the basis of the prevailing wind direction and weather patterns, we fly from either the Gloucestershire Airport or Stroud.

Gloucestershire Airport - An Airport with lots of history, the Gloucestershire Airport began life in 1931 known as Down Hatherley airfield. Our only launch site that also has other aircraft flying from it, this is a spectacular place to fly from. As you can see from the photo below you will have stunning views, not only of the Airport, but of the surrounding countryside and towns as you gently float across the skyline.

Stroud - An area of hills, valleys and canals, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Stroud was once the industrial centre of the Cotswolds, being built upon the wool industry.

A balloon flight from Stroud will give you glorious views of the surrounding villages embedded into the countryside. Depending on the wind direction on the day of your flight your balloon ride may take you over any one of the beautiful valleys surrounding Stroud.

Nailsworth Valley - once a cloth making town situated at the foot of the deep wooded valley.

Slad Valley - the grey-stone village of Slad was also once a cloth making town. Immortalised by the poet and author Laurie Lee, Slad was the location for the filming of 'Cider with Rosie'.

Cam Valley - where one working mill remains producing high quality cloth. Heading South East you see the largest of the valleys, Chalford Valley (Golden Valley), with the River Frome running through it.

In the pictures below you can see one of our balloon rides went right over the Severn!
